arghhhh....my throat is killing meee!!!
have not had sore throat for quite a long time. But this is one of the worse i think. i don't remember having one that hurts so much! it's so painful when i swallow! feels like there's is 4-5 ulcers together down there.
How to do tours like that?
Hope can recover by tmr. already took 2 days MC. although some people tell me, take as many as required! But i truely wanna get better to save all the trouble.
Where to get such an employee like me?

we just got a verbal lashing from PUB.
Makes me think that they do not appreciate us at all.
It's worse that it wasn't directed to a specific person. You do not know if they are talking about you. Let me just summarise what they said.
1) Our tours are not up to standard. They compared us to the people at the Zoo. Which is ridiculous. Zoo is a different place and a totally different tour!
2) We do not have enough training. Again they compared us to Zoo, saying that they spent 3 years training their guides. Well, as if we don't want to be train? please. it's the management.
3)We have repetitive words in our tours. They mention that there was this guide who did a VIP tour with over 200 "Actually"s. That's definitely NOT me. It's quite an insult, for someone like me coming from an english-educated background. I admit that i did say a few sometimes, but 200 is exaggerating.
4)Our tours are not informative enough. Please. look at the script that YOU gave to us before you start saying anything. Isn't it a sample of the tour that we are suppose to follow?
5)Our attire is not presentable enough. From now on we have to tuck in our shirts and put on belt. Plus wear dark-coloured jeans. wtf. Now than you come and tell us?
6)We always cluster in Gallery 4 whenever there's a tour. Please. We have our reasons ok. It's not that we cluster and CHAT. We have to do coordination to avoid the tours clashing at Gallery 4! (especially when you give us like FOUR tours starting at one go??!!!)We are there to help our colleagues in any way we can so they can concentrate on doing their tour! We don't deny that we cluster sometimes, but than you really expect us to stand there alone, staring into space? Why not YOU come down and do it. See whether you'll cluster.
I'm FUMING now.
We do SO MUCH for them, and all they do is complain?
I know that i shouldn't be affected by this. It's not our fault. But i just can't help but feel demoralised.
From now on, i do not look forward to working here anymore.

when i knew that i'll be going to MB, i was thinking, sure will see the Ch8 drama crew filming there one day. i mean, the place is so ideal for a location shoot because of the beautiful scenery!
and sure enough. they were here today. when i saw them, i was excited and scared at the same time. excited because it has been a long long time since i last saw them. almost 2 years! scared because don't know if they remember me.
Nevertheless, i went up and said hi. i think i was too excited lah. coz when I approached the crew, i spotted Jessica, and i actually shouted "Jessicaaaa!!!". She had to take a second glance before she responded "Ehh?! you working here?!!", complete with the shocked look on her face. Director Fenfei said "Hi Wanyu". Heng... they still remember me.
Guess who were they filming? of all the artistes, these 2 are the ones which never in a million years i would thought of seeing them again! the Queen & the King! omg omg. will they remember me?
Too excited until i didn't notice if they are in the midst of filming. walked behind the camera, and actually waved and said "Ah Ge, Ah Jie Hello!!!" i thought their reaction would be the same as Jessica's. But i got a not so lively one instead. Ah Jie looked at me, with a bit of a surprised & frowned face, said Hi after 2 secs. Ah Ge just smiled at me. oops...i think they don't remember after all. or maybe they did, but they were too engrossed in the scene?
Went over to the monitor side, and someone tapped me on my shoulder. turned around, and was so happy to see Mandy!! chatted with her & Jessica a bit. really miss them a lot! in the end, i bade goodbye just a few minutes later. why. because i felt so awkward standing there, coz they looked busy and seemed like they didn't have time to entertain me. so sad....
until now i still don't know if i interrupted the filming, or if Ah Ge & Ah Jie remembers me. These are the question marks which i'd like to have the answers. regretted not waiting a bit longer to see if there's time to chat. Think i'm gonna contact Jessica soon...haha...
(Btw, Jessica is Ah Ge's PA, and Mandy is Ah Jie's PA)
how i wished it was Felicia, Ping Hui or Pierre! wanted so much to see them! frankly speaking, i kinda miss the filming days. it was tough but fun with the right people. just thinking of the vivd memories made me had this urge to go back and do it again.
i just might consider...
The new MB team is formed. most importantly, without her. so happy to have the 3 of them in my team! we'll definitely have loads of FUN!!!

it has been a week since CNY. How time flies.
With each passing year, the CNY mood keeps descending. i think it's because of the increasing age. last time i was in primary or secondary school, the mood is totally different. I actually look forward to CNY then. maybe because of the hongbao, or maybe because of the holiday? all i can say was, CNY was deinitely fun in past. But not now.
I feel like I'm dragging myself to the visits. why? coz all i do there is to watch TV and act busy on my handphone. totally a waste of time. and my cousins are all not so young anymore, cannot play with them. even the hongbaos don't entice me anymore. the worse thing is that the uncles and aunties will ask the same questions again.
I got this from a forum, and i find it very amusing and true:
When we are little children they will ask: What school are you in? Your studies ok?
When we are in late teens/early twenties: Do you have boyfriend? If no, aiyoh why dont have?
When we are in late twenties with no boyfriend: Aiyoh, later become 老姑婆. Want me to intro you boyfriend?
If we are unmarried but attached: When are you getting married?
If we are newlywed with no children: When are you having children? Why still dont want?
If we are married with one child: When are you going to have a 2nd child?
When our children are schooling: Your children what schol ah? What stream?
BUTTTTT,The only thing i look forward to is the FOOD!!! ok, i admit i'm a glutton. but really, not every day i can eat 8 dishes you know!
I think 5-10 years down the road, i'll probably escape to different locations for a "Holiday" during CNY.

whatever, it'll be better a bit after the reshuffling. I'm not involved in it. Someone is. I''ll announce it once it's confirmed. :)
