Li Seng invited me to his "company" today. on the phone he told me that i'm supposed to listen to a talk and do some personality test, about some financial thingy. but when we reach there, turns out that it wasn't exactly what we expected lah. :P

met Xiao Han, Hui Xian and Li Seng at Tanjong Pagar station. all of us arrived at the designated time, EXCEPT Simin. and that's VERY surprising. coz when it comes to punctuality, Simin usually is the one who's always early!...so like, we wondered what happened to her..msg her, call her, still no response... after waiting for 20 mins, we gave up, and decided to just leave without her. :D

Liseng's "company" is an insurance 1. funny, coz it's surroundings and everything, looks really similar to another insurance company that i worked for!!..seems like insurance companys have the same "style". :P ok, they did let us do the personality test lah, whereby they gave u a sheet of paper with all the qualities and characters listed, and we were supposed to chose those that suited us. pretty lame for me, but Li Seng is my friend, so whatever, just do it for him. :D they tabulated the scores, and evaluated based on them.

ok, this is the amusing part. the person said stuff about my character. and most of them were true lah, i admit. he said a i'm quiet person, someone who can don't talk for as long as she wants. which is true. he said i'm good in facts and figures, which is true. and because of that he suggested that i would want to go for a BANK TELLER job. hah?, this 1 i don't agree.... don't think i'll get satisfaction in a bank teller job. he also said i treasure my family more than my friends. which is partly true. true in the fact that i'm closer to my family than friends. but that doesn't mean i don't treasure my friends lah!!! :D ......can't rem the rest...think that's about it. the test didn't really benefited me. thought that they should make it more precise. :P luckily the person didn't like persuade us to join their company or anything, coz usually insurance companys use that method. I for 1, will never be an insurance agent. i don't want to go around begging people to buy the policies. :P :P

Xiao Han went home after the thing finished. and the rest of us met James for dinner. wanted to go Lau Pa Sat at first, but couldn't find parking space, so decided to go Suntec. ate at Suntec's foodcourt. the exact tower that i was filming Feng Niao the other time, and also the exact foodcourt that i ate during lunch that time!...how coincidental!! haha.

class decided to organise another "outing" next thursday, at Sakae Sushi, and we discussed what stuff we wanna do after eating that day. there wasn't 1 thing we can decide on!! i suggested Karaoke, Cycling or Mahjong, but Hui Xian explained that she doesn't want to sing!, and cycling was too late, and most of them cannot play mahjong. aiyo...how come cannot settle on 1 thing....we brought out a few more ideas, but none of them were good.... Li Seng suggested flying kite! omg. that's like the most boring thing to do loh. i even suggested cycling around the neighbourhood!!! (what was i thinking man?) after brainstorming for half hour so, we gave up. :P took a lift from James car. thanks James!, and nice car! (but my dad's 1 is nicer. wahahaha)

it was cool meeting my classmates again. looking forward to next week outing.

and i really hope that they won't chose kite flying. :D

before the release of my final sem's results in a few weeks time(which will determine if i have graduated), maybe i should just do some planning for my future, by listing out some of the options.

Option A: Work in MCS.
Obviously the most desired one out of the rest. and also the most difficult to achieve. i mean, what job can i apply for in MCS? i don't have the relevant experience or qualifications loh. and i'm pretty sure that they have more than enough staff there. oh well, it would take a miracle if Option A comes true. i can only hope.

Option B: Web-Designing job.
this is the 1 skill taught in sch that i have full interest, and excelled in. why do you think my blog is so nice anyway. haha. but i guess the job requires dealing with clients and meeting the tight dealines. i dunno if i can handle the pressure. and i don't see myself staying in the same job scope throughout my working life. i need something more exciting. like Option A. hehe.

Option C: other ICT jobs
but then again, i'm not say REALLY good in other ICT skills/softwares. not sure if they'll employ someone who do not have experience. plus there are also the reasons in Option B. so this is kinda out. the only ICT job that i can think of is actually teaching IT, to maybe pri/sec kids. hmm...that would be fun. :P do they have this kinda job out there?

Option D: an office job
err...not exactly what i want. but if the above options don't work, i guess i'll have to turn to this. but i'll never ever get an Admin job. i'll be bored to death! no motivation and acheivement whatsoever. other office jobs still not so bad.

Option E: Set up a business
HA HA. as if i have the money.

Option F: further study
no replies from the Us. don't think i have the chance. why can't S'pore have more Us?! so pathetic! want to further study also cannot.
-_-

going into the workforce is so much more stressful than school. i've experienced that during my attachments. now it's like the real thing already. i wished i could go to school all my life. seriously! that's how much i hate working. give me exams and projects anytime! :P :P but bo bian, that's how life is, have to go through hardship to enjoy the fruits. :P

several friends have already started finding jobs. nothing against them, but what's the rush? must take a well deserved rest first mah. 3 years of poly leh!...after all, working and schooling is totally different. you have to be fully prepared it. which reminds me, i have a few things to get done b4 job hunting. 1) cut my hair. a bit too long liao. 2) prepare resume. 3) take passport size photo for resume 4) purchase a few more formal blouses and pants 5) err, look through the classifieds?, but i have to do the first 4 stuff first.

see! working sucks! i miss school so much....

P.S: guys, maybe you can give me your opinion on which option i should go for?, or what other jobs i'm suitable for? :D :P

~Trip to JB [19 April]~

can you believe that yesterday was my first trip to JB?! ...i've been to KL, Penang, Genting, but NOT JB??? funny right....but i enjoyed myself lah. especially when i had such cool friends together with me. :P ...it's refreshing to take a break and leave the busy S'pore for a moment, and just have fun! :)

firstly, of course, we had to cross the border. we took only a short while to go through customs, and after that, we were officially in JB!.. wah, i almost fainted once we stepped out of the checkpoint building. it was so feakin' HOT!!! the heat was almost unbearable. if S'pore is 30 Deg, than JB is like, 50 Deg or something. :P

took a cab to a shopping building, the name which i couldn't read, coz it was in Malay. :D ... during the journey, i got a glimpse of the city through shops and buildings that we passed. it was quite different from S'pore. there were no high-rise buldings, and the shops were a bit run-down. very different compared to the modern buildings in S'pore. we reached the shopping centre, and started on a shopping spree!....only that it wasn't exactly a spree, more like window shopping. :P the place looks exactly like any other shopping centre in S'pore. seriously, nothing fancied me, so didn't bought anything. Amanda & Shu Hui ended up buying stationary. wahahaha....come all the way to JB to buy stationary! :P :P

ate lunch at the foodcourt. again, it looks like any other foodcourt in S'pore. even the food were similar. had a plate of Char Kway Teow. it was kinda cooked differently from the S'pore version, ...the kway teow was in long strips instead of short ones. nevertheless, it was delicious! :) after eating, we walked around somemore. Siling bought a couple of blouses, coz they were cheaper than the ones in S'pore. we went to the supermart, and bought some tidbits and drinks for later in the day.

at 'bout 2pm, we made our way to the KTV lounge, which was owned by Siling's uncle. the room was really cool!!...they even have a toilet in it! =) had a blast singing! but only english songs though, coz i couldn't read the fan ti zi in Chinese ones. hahaha. :P we took turns singing, Amanda and me sang eng songs, while Siling & Shu Hui sang chinese. they commented that my singing is good! erm, maybe i don't look like a singer in the first place? :P well, the fact is that my parents are karaoke fanatics. i practically grew up singing karaoke. :) Amanda even asked me why i didn't go join S'pore Idol. haha. although my singing is good, i think i'm still not up to that standard lah. :D

the lounge even provided us with a buffet!....but there wasn't a wide variety lah. loved the fried rice though! :) we sang until about 9pm...coz after that was Happy Hour, which was more expensive. took cab back to the checkpoint. Amanda wanted to bring back chewing gum, but was afraid that they would find out. in the end, she tore out the outer wrappers, and stuffed the sticks inside her pockets..... she was so scared when we went through the detector!..but fortunately, they didn't discover it. next trip to JB, must remember to use that method. hahaha...

spent only SG $20 on this trip. it's so worth it, coz i had so much fun!!!....hope that i'll have another chance to go there again. =)

they took me singing. great. i absolutely do not look like a singer?!

what a long day! phew!

ok, it's not considered long lah. but maybe coz today is technically the "end of poly", so it was a bit more exciting than usual.

Met Amanda & Shuhui at Macs for lunch after their paper. been a while since i last chatted with them. they are always so fun to be with! =) discussed about all sorts of stuff...how were their papers lah, plans after graduation lah, and our trip to JB next week...looking forward to it! :D went to the library after our meal, as Amanda said she wanted to print her stuff. something very amusing happened. coz in my sch, you have to pay a fixed amount for every paper you print. than Amanda was like increasing the num of copies, so by right if print 1 paper will cost 2 cents, 10 copies is 20 cents right?...guess what?!...the sch is soooo "generous" to not charge us the cost for the other copies!! so we ended up paying only 2 cents for 10 copies!!!...haha. Amanda discovered the glitch, and we all print like siao!, 100 copies, free of charge!!! hahah....SP students reading this, u may want to try your luck this few days. :D

went for the exam. at first, i thought it was pretty easy, coz most of the ques i knew how to do. BUT, when i gathered answers from my classmates, i realised i did a lot of ques WRONGLY!....omg. damn it! :( .......but whatever, it's over already. just pray that i don't get a D for that module. :D

celebrated with my class after the exam. went to Fish & Co at Dobby Ghaut. intented to eat first, but we reached too early, so decided to go play pool. of course i didn't play lah!, not into this kinda "sport". only the guys played, and we slacked while waiting for time to pass. after about 1 hour, we made our way to the restaurant. wow. i must say, i like the place very much. as in the decor and ambience was really cool! :D couldn't make up my mind on what to eat, so James & Hui Xian ordered for me. didn't know what i was eating!, only that it's FISH. haha. but it's ok, i love fish. :) the food was not bad. a bit spicy, but luckily i can take chilli. was extremely full after dinner. 2 western meals in a day! whoa. i must have gain a lot of fat. :P the rest went to catch a movie, didn't join them coz it'll be late by the time it finished. waved my goodbyes, and went back with Simin. -end of day-

can't believe that my poly education has ended. it feels like just yesterday when i started my 1st sem. yeah, a bit exaggerating, but time does really pass fast. i'll definitely miss my school lah. dunno about my classmates though. coz we're not close, compared to lets say, Sec sch. ok lah, i'll miss the times that we spent rushing for projects and cramming for exams. ironic in a way, but those are the times when we really cooperated with each other. & it's also cool sharing stuff with them. :) ...actually wanted to write more about poly, but i guess i'll wait after i REALLY graduated before i write all the things that i love (or hate) about my school. hahaz....but honestly, if i were to start all over again, i would choose the A level route (i'm NOT in regretting mode). i think i'll gain more through that. that's some advice for the olevers! :D
