still dunno what my fate is. have to wait until the 4th to find out. honestly speaking, resting too much is not very good. i've been a couch potato these few weeks. sleeping, eating, watching tv. nothing else. now i'm worrying. when i go back to work again, don't think i'll be able to muster up the same enthusiasum as before.

well, i'll just have to hope for the best then.

check out this clip that i've found! it's from the Wade Robson Project. A TV show which sets out to find the best hip-hop dancers in the US. and this clip is the finale highlights. for those who have MTV on cable, you may check it out.

I JUST LOVE THE DANCING MAN!

when Wade dances to Micheal Jackson, notice the screen above as it shows the actual MJ music video. he dances EXACTLY like MJ, he's imitating him, step for step. omg. wow.

and he's so freaking handsome loh. just can't get enough of him!!! :P

the competitors are so freaking good too!

what i like about hip-hop dancing is when a group of people dance together, step for step, it's just a really amazing sight. totally COOL!

i swear i'm gonna learn hip-hop dancing one day.

i couldn't believe it. Life of an AP? i mean, are they actually gonna promote me to an AP?? or maybe they are gonna give us these 'lectures' and have tests?, and than chose amoung us? after all they couldn't promote 3 right? haiz, i really dunno what to think. i'm not sure if i'm ready to be an AP yet. i don't even know if i should mention it to them in the first place.

it's quite strange, coz Huiying and Rue are filming shows at the moment. i'm the only one who's not.

confused....

i'm sitting at home rotting. i can't believe they didn't give me a new show.

i want to go out, but there's no one to go out with. my friends are probably either slaving away in their offices now or sweating away at camp. haiz.

anyone is free to go out for a drink or something?

i cannot continue rotting at home.

just bought a new IPOD Nano!!! YAY!

Yeah! I have freedom again!

well, at least for a week. after which i would probably be called back for a new show. :(

i have a nagging feeling that it'll be the one about Law. and i don't think it will be as relaxed as Ai Qing Ling Du C. i mean, LAW you know. isn't it the word that most people fear? and when i look at who's the Executive Producer for this show, i almost fainted. for those who work in my department in MCS, you'll know why. for those who don't, well, i also dunno how to explain lah. all i can say is that she's the most 'famous' person here, and i'm not saying famous on the good side. :P

on the other hand, i think one of the aspect of my job will be easier, if i get this show that is. All Lawyers wear suits right?, as in black jackets, black pants and black shoes? so i don't even have to record their outfits, coz all of them looks the same anyway. ha.

anyone is seeing Xing Shan Shan?...not bad hor?, the story is quite good. looking forward to epi 13-20, which was filmed by MY group. :D

yesterday was my last day filming Ai Qing Ling Du C. and i was really touched when some of the artistes thanked me for helping them. Rui En was the first one. she asked me if it was my last day, i said yes, and she reached out her hand and said "Thank you for all that you've help me!(something like that)"....i was quite surprised, coz she's the first artiste who actually did that. of course i shook her hand back politely.
the next was Feng Ling. i met her at Make-Up. after we exchanged our Hellos, she asked me what was i filming, "The same show loh, today is my last day.....you leh?, wrap already?", "Ya, wrapped already.", after which she said, "Btw, thanks for everything leh!"....i smiled and replied "Welcome!" :)
and then there was Elvin. i was at the wardrobe, and i met him in our drama's column. he asked me if tomorrow i'm working, i told him no. what about the next day? i said no, "Today is my last day." to which he exclaimed "Today is your last day?!!!"....i nod my head, and was about to proceed back to the counter but he called me back. "Hey Wan Yu!,..Thanks!!.. he reached out his hand too. guess what i did?, instead of shaking it properly, i kinda slap mine into his and gave it one firm shook, like the hip-hop version of a handshake? haha. Elvin was smiling so brightly, almost grinning from ear to ear, and i could see the full set of his front teeth (very white i must add). i couldn't help laughing! hahaha....
at 11.05pm on the same day he msged me. (and this is the EXACT msg) 'Hi Wanyu Just 1 2 thank U 4 this whole time At 1st thought U were quiet n not v friendly Later realised U go abt yr work in yr own quiet way Take care n see U"
i couldn't help but laugh again. :P

i suddenly have a sense of satisfaction.

that's one of the reason why i love my job so much. :)

Rui En, Feng Ling and Elvin. If you guys happen to read this. Hey, It's My Pleasure!!! :D i enjoyed these 2 months working with you all! hope we'll have a chance to work together again. :)

FINALLY.

after 2 months.

i have time to blog!!!

this is so pathetic.

i miss blogging so much! i used to blog, like 3 times a week? and now i don't have time to blog for even 1 week. ok, i admit, i did have a few hours lah. but sometimes i'm too tired to even watch TV, let alone blog. usually i'll just go straight to sleep. 1 min of sleep is so precious to me.

sad isn't it? i'm missing out on so much stuff.

decided to change my blog design. and also delete all the posts that should not be there. haha. for those of you who is visiting my blog for the first time, you missed out on A LOT. :)

anyway, filming for Ai Qing Ling Du C is ending soon, something like next week. and you might wonder why i have time to switch on my PC. thats because i have 3 days off. ha. i had 2 days initially, but yesterday our dearest Mr Elvin Ng took MC, so i had the whole of yesterday off too. :P

we're gonna have this big fashion show to film next week (first episode, look out for it. my group is filming epi 1-7). and guess what? the location is the same old NAFA again. i should be feeling 'sian' now, as we spent more than 20 days there during Wu Chu Cai Hong (it was literally my second home then), & the thought of spending 1 more day there, it's like, ..arghh!.. but on second thoughts, i guess, it's beneficial in a way lah. as i knew the location really well. i wouldn't say i'm looking forward to that day, but at least i'm not dreading it. -_-

*update on 5/3: they changed the freaking location again. to some hotel or something. :(

hmmm....what should i blog next..

how my director sucked?

nah. most of the directors sucked anyway.

how stressful my job is?

nah. i think i described enough in my previous posts.

how the other day i met Pierre at the wardrobe (think it was like a month ago already), and i greeted him with a "hello, Mr Png", and he greeted me bck with a "hello, Miss Xie"?

nah. that's just too lame.

how the artistes in this show is a lot better than my previous ones?

hmm...

ok. lets do that.

well, not actually A LOT better, but at least i can talk more with them than the other artistes that i've worked with (maybe except Rui En).

Let me describe them one by one.

Rui En- our lead actress. a very down-to-earth person. no celeb airs at all, just like the girl next door. she's a bit tomboyish. not in her looks of course, but in her actions. btw i think i only saw her wearing a skirt like twice? :P but something advantageous, she's english speaking, so no problem with communication.
one incident that i remembered, which i was really grateful for.
we were having 2 buses that day, coz there were a lot of extras and part-timers. Rui En's stuff was on the bus that brought her to the location. that bus had to sent all the extras and part-timers back, so my AP asked me to transfer all the artistes things to the other bus. i must have forgotten about it coz i was too busy making sure everyone had board the bus. i only realised when the driver called back saying that there were things left in the bus which nobody took. i was like "shit, those are Rui En's!!"...
.i was so afraid to tell her about it, afraid that she would be really angry. i had to choice but to muster up all my courage, go straight to her, and relate everything. at first she was shocked, although she didn't say it, but from her face i could tell that in her mind she went "What?".
luckily when i explained properly, that the driver will leave it at the security post for us to collect it when we are back at MediaCorp, that she felt a bit relieved. i felt so embarassed about the whole thing that i kept saying sorry, complete with my embarassed face. i must have looked really comical! :P
to my surprise, she actually said it's ok! i couldn't believe it. if it were some other artiste, they would be irritated and angry, and ignore me from that moment onwards (for eg a certain Miss Aw). but Rui En is not that kind of person. i guess she's forgiving lah, and does not have that attitude that some artistes have. i enjoy working with her because of that.

some things that i noticed about her:

1) she's a coffee addict!!! she ALWAYS ask me to buy coffee for her. Black coffee in foodcourts, and Latte in Coffee Bean/Starbucks. if she wasn't reading her scripts, she would be drinking coffee. that's how serious her addiction is.

2) besides coffee, she drinks lots of water too. every few hours or so, she'll ask me for a bottle.

3) she drives a blue jeep. don't really know the brand. but it's cool anyway.

4) very responsible and professional artiste. she takes all her clothes home, and just brings the ones which is needed for that day. best of all, she records all her conti clothes! and she seldom gets them wrong, coz she writes it in detail. for us PAs, it's one less artiste to worry about. how many artistes are like her?, less than 5 i think.

5) most of the time she doesn't eat much. mostly fruits and vegetables. but on some occasions, she does eat fast-food too.

6) she hates sunlight. always ask me for a towel to cover her head. or sometimes an umbrella too.

7) she has this awesome Ipod which i saw her listening to a couple of times. it'll be the next item on my shopping list. :D

8) while eavesdropping the other time, i learnt that she's staying in the West area, although she didn't say exactly where.. but don't think she knows i'm staying in the same area also.

9) she is very friendly and nice to her fans. always willing to stop for an autograph or picture.

10) one of the few artistes who actually asked for my number. although it's only to msg when she need me to get something for her, but at least she makes an effort to ASK.

11) she has a tattoo of the 2nd chinese character in her name, En, at the back of her neck. that's just so cool! maybe i'll consider doing one too. :P

sadly, i don't have a lot of common topics with Rui En. she talks a lot more to my AP. maybe it's the age gap? nah. we're only 3 years apart. well, i guess we don't have a lot in common then. ( btw, i told her my name the first time, and she remembered it since then. amazing.)

Julian Hee - very boyish looks. the type that girls would fall for. he has a really cute smile, which i admit, can be really attractive, just make you wanna sayang him. :P
BUT, if you offend this guy, i tell you, he'll probably stop talking to you for the rest of your life. that's what happen to my AP. she complained in her report about Julian always coming late for work, and i haven't seen him talk to her since. although i admit that's one of the bad habits that he has, which also i don't like.
of course he has his good points too, like for example whenever i help him check his conti clothes, or buy food for him etc, he never forgets to say a word of Thanks, complete with his cute smile. haha. whenever he does that, i feel everything that i helped him, it's worth it. :P
that time i ate lunch with Julian, together with Yi Ling (Vivian Lai). this was what we conversed about. (i was speaking chinese to Yi Ling, and English to Julian.)

Yi Ling: Wan Yu, is this your first show?

Me: Nope. i did Wu Chu Cai Hong and Xing Shan Shan.

Yi Ling: *points to Julian* him again?

Me: i was in the last group for Wu Chu Cai Hong. You weren't in the last group right?

Julian: *Shooks his head. with food in his mouth*

Me: *turns to Yi Ling* that show was so xiong! we had to film the competitions for 9 days consecutive.

Yi Ling: *raised her eyebrows* all Da Chang Mian (as in a lot of people)?

Me: *nods head*

Yi Ling: Wah.

Me: *looks at Julian, who's still eating his noodles*. that time very xiong right?

Julian: *shakes head*

Me: not xiong ah?

Julian: *after slurping the last of his noodles* no. xiong! (apparently he shook his head coz he was thinking about the time we filmed Wu Chu)

Yi Ling: so you graduated from University?

Me: No. from poly. and i didn't study a course relevant to what i'm doing now.

Yi Ling: actually a lot of people in this industry also didn't study a course relevant to the Media.

Me: Really?

Julian: So what did you study then?

Me: i studied IT.

Julian: IT. hmm...(he must be wondering what the hell is it)

Me: btw, what's your next show after this?

Julian: *gave me one of his bright smile* no idea! u?

Me: me too.

Julian: i hope that they don't give me any at the moment. so i can stay at home for next few months.

Me: haha....

-pause-

Julian: Hey, can i take one of your fries? *pointing the unfinished plate in front of me*

Me: take lah.

- he actually reached out his hand over to my plate and took one of my fries!-

Me: take somemore ah! i cannot finish.

Julian: You are lucky u have me here today. *smiles*

- and he started taking my fries one by one. after he polished all of them, he even took the piece of fried fish that i left behind!! omg.-

our conversation came to a stop, coz my AP & Director entered the restaurant and started preparing for the scene.
but isn't he cute? just like a 5 year old boy snatching fries from his mum's plate. :P

Felicia Chin - Sunshine Girl. always wearing a smile on her face. very outgoing too. the kind that is most of the time seen chatting with people. it's not because she wants use that chance to get close to people, it's simply coz she loves to chat, to get to know us better. no surprise that she gets along with everyone.
she's so much more mature for her age. and, ya we're of the same age. but look at me and look at her! i'm like a 12 year old girl compared to her loh.
well, once i saw her without make-up. & i almost got a shock. she looks so different. just..you know..Plain. make-up can really do wonders.
i hope Feng Ling is not reading this!
anyway, it's always fun with her around. :D

Elvin Ng - poor guy. he has to juggle school with acting. it's seriously really stressful. sometimes right after he finishes filming, he has to rush off to his school for lessons. and i doubt he has time to hit the books also. he told us that the principal (or whatever you call them at Universitys) is already very unhappy about him missing his classes. if he carries on like this, he may be barred from sitting exams.
just a personal opinion, he doesn't look like a University student at all. his face just doesn't show that he's those kind who can study a lot? and although i don't know which exact U he's in, but if i'm not wrong he's studying English Lit. wah! Ren Bu Ke Mao Xiang leh. really.
he not only has problems in school, he has difficulty in acting too. a total newbie. made so many nistakes! his acting is not up to the director's expectations. and it doesn't help that my director is one of the strictest. so needless to say, he always got scolded. i pity him a lot.
but overall he's nice person lah. handsome guy too. :P
P.S: Elvin sweats buckets!! omg. i've never seen someone who perspires so much in my life. he sweats even in normal temperature. i have to pass him a towel after almost every shot.

Terence Cao- don't really like him. not the type of person that i can get along with. most of the time his face is expressionless? as in he's nonchalant. he doesn't really care about the things that's happening, i think only when he's acting than he'll be serious. and sometimes when he has nothing better to do, he'll start to joke around. which i don't find it funny at all. on a few occasions during acting, he did actions which do not coincide in the character of the role he's playing. like one scene when he met his 'enemy', he actually like smiled and raised his hand to say hello? isn't he suppose to act not happy from the start? his acting isn't good to start with anyway (my opinion only). and i remembered once we were filming this Topshot, and they didn't have a ladder for the cameraman to use. guess what Mr Cao did? he FLAGED a lorry that was passing by at that moment, and just so coincident that the driver had a ladder. some people may it's a 'heroic act', but i think it's ridiculous!
he has the same bad habit as Julian, always come late. for example if we are setting off at 8am, he'll only appear at 7.58am. and he still needs to take his clothes and stuff. where got time? to make things worse, he seldom answers his phone calls. like out of 10 calls that we make, most probably he'll answer only 2. you can imagine how worried my AP is when the set-off time is nearing, and Mr Cao still hasn't turn up.
the only thing that's worth mentioning about, which i also often wonder. how does he maintain his looks? he's still so good-looking for his age! :P
but if given a chance, don't think i want to work with him again.

Vivian Lai - the most comical artiste i've met. she's just so funny lah! it's hard to believe that she's a mother already. btw, she still wears t-shirts with Mickey Mouse prints! haha.
but i can tell that she's a very caring mother. coz she calls home every now and then to check on how her baby girl Vera is doing. so sweet! :)
chatted with her quite a number of times, but can't really recall exactly what the conversations are (except for the one with Julian). all i can say is that i really enjoyed her company.
i rememeber once when i asked her what her next show would be, she replied me "Zai Jia De Re Zi". i thought it was really a show, so i asked her when will they start filming it. she gave me that satisfied expression on her face. it took me a while to realised that she was tricking me! Zai Jia De Re Zi literally means The Days Speant Staying At Home. get the joke? i couldn't stop laughing after that.
