went for the NTU thingy today. they had different talks from NTU's different schools...go for fun only lah. actually there's only 1 particular course that i'm interested in. no need to guess also know lah!...haha.
i seem to really suck at picking correct outfits for occasions. first was the presentation, and today was the talk. haiz. everybody wore jeans and t-shirt, and i was the only 1 wearing formally(ok maybe not only me :P). it's all Liseng's fault!..he was the one who said have to wear formal!..and he ended up wearing not very formal! aiyo. and Simin also lah. say want to go, but last min say cannot make it. :(
the courses at NTU are pretty ok lah. the few that i'm quite interested in are the business, humanities, and education ones. QUITE only hor. there's only ONE course that i'm very very VERY interested in. Communication Studies lah! like DUH! :P i was waiting impatiently for that talk the whole day loh. ok, i admit, i went there just to hear the talk on Comm Studies. :D and i was not disappointed. firstly the speakers were really cool and funny. they spoke so eloquently loh. and did i mention that out of the 6 speakers, 4 were ang mohs?! whoa. does that mean 80% of the lecturers in the course are ang mohs too? sounds pretty scary! hahah... ok, so they showed us this video clip about the course. the stuff that they teach are so cool can?! journalism, publicity, broadcast media, advertising?...like, WOW? ...according to them, a lot of their alumni are working in MediaCorp now,...they gave us names of celebs who are their alumni too, like Huang Hui & Diana Ser (Huang Hui was saying her experience at the last part of the video clip. :D)...and the speaker went, "anybody knows Joanne Peh??",....."yeah she's our student too!"...hahah...seems like showing-off huh! :P... but everything they said just made me wanna get into the course even more! it's like my dream loh.
haiz. sad to say, they only take in 170 students loh, and my chances of getting in is like,..only 0.0001%?, ..ok maybe i'm exaggerating. but really loh, sure damn hard to get in 1. how i wish i can study Comm Studies. :*(

was inspired by Straits Times's Urban, esp when i read what they wrote on Fann. since i'm so freakin' bored, i thought, why not do a similar section for my blog? :P so here goes....What's in my bag?
this bag i bought just recently only. i love it coz it's really big and spacious, so i can put lots of stuff inside. i don't pack my bag. i usually chuck everything inside. that's why sometimes i forget the things that i'm supposed to bring. :P amoung all the textbooks and piles of lecture notes, these are what i found....
Item 1: Wallet
my most important item. this Neve wallet was given to me by my mom. what i like about it is that it has lots of compartments, plus it's a pretty big wallet. you can't see from the pic, but actually there are still plenty of receipts stuffed inside.:P MUST remind myself to clear my wallet someday! ;D this item definitely cannot lose. if lost, i cannot go out for 1 week. hahah...
Item 2: Handphone
the second most impt item. My handphone is like my best friend. not only it keeps me connected, the features are really cool too. the camera captures all those precious moments, while the radio keeps me entertained when i'm bored, eg: on the train, or in lecture =] ....
Item 3: the beauty products
Which girl doesn't want to look good? these 2 items are for touchin' up while on the move. the lipstick is a 3-in-1, it's a lipbalm cum lipstick(pink color :P ) cum lipgloss. cool huh! the foundation is from Wet 'n Wild U.S.A. and it lives up to it's name, coz it stays on even if your face is oily/sweaty, perfect for covering eyebags. :)
Item 4: Aloe Vera gel
recommended by Amanda. it was pretty effective when i saw her using, so decided to buy 1 myself. looks like eyedrop right?, but it's NOT. the Aloe Vera gel helps cure almost anything, from pimples, to insect bites, to mouth ulcers. i call it 'Shen Qi Shui'....hahahah. :P ....but it's really good. i use it mainly for my rashes, coz sometimes they appear on my face (how i dunno). And my face would look SO ugly coz the rashes are soooo red. BUT after using the gel, the rashes will subside in just a few days.
*if anyone is interested, i bought it from Unity Healthcare at $3+.(see it's cheap too) :)
Item 5: Hair Brush
i usually don't use this, coz my hair seldom gets messy. hahah....bring in case only :D i can't use those thin plastic combs. coz within 1 week, they'll break. funny, my hair isn't THAT thick right? :P
Item 6: Diary
ahhh....my diary. i used to keep 1, which was like a personal diary, for writing thoughts and stuff. but since i've created my blog a year ago, i've stopped writing. now my diary is for recording all the important things, like projects datelines, exam timetables, and module grades. it helps me to recall all the things that i need to do.

Item 7: Admin card + lanyard
this is THE item for any SP student. almost anything in my school needs it. the free access PCs needs it, the booking of discussion rooms needs it, and of course when sitting for tests/exams, you MUST have it(if not you're barred). when caught not possessing the card, you're considered as an outsider. :P ...the school 'has' this rule that you have to wear the lanyard with the card when in school compounds....i said 'HAS', because NO ONE follows the rule (except lecturers lah)....the weirdest thing is, they don't catch students not wearing! The rule isn't a RULE!. hahah... guess SP students are not proud of their school after all. :D
that's my bag for you! how?, can give Urban a run for money?...wahahah ;)
P.S. pardon me if this entry is lame. coz i'm bored to death. :P
