just back from filming. tired. but nvm, got 2 days off. thought of maybe blogging about something interesting. since i have a tagger here who's a Jeanette fan, i'll write stuff that i notice from her during the 2 months of filming. anyway, if i write about the other artistes, think most people also dunno who they are. So i'll just go with Jeanette. :D
1) Very advantageous to me, Jeanette is english educated, as in she speaks more english than chinese. same as me. we communicate mostly in english.
2) She drives a maroon Grand Vitara jeep. seems like a lot of artistes drives jeep huh. but Fann's 1 is the nicest. :P
3) Most of us call her by her english name, seldom people call her Ou Xuan. maybe coz of point 1.
4) No one knows Jeanette handphone num, only her bao mu, Alison. so everytime if we need to contact her, we have to go through Alison, which is very troublesome. and if she calls us (which seldom happens), the screen will show "Private Number". ok, understandable lah. :D
5) She wears size 5 1/2 shoes. she cannot wear above size 6. how i know, coz i gave her shoes to try before. ;)
6) Jeanette eats very little. for eg that time, me, Shu Yi and director all ordered big plates of Nasi Byrani(sp?), and she only had 1 piece of roti prata. i think it's a sad reality that actresses have to face lah. after all, which actress don't want to look slim on screen? i bet Fann also don't eat much. :P
7) I know her IC no. Went around collecting people's name and IC for the airport scene, although i have no idea why they want it. Jeanette's one is S79XXXXXX. obviously i can't write the whole thing down lah! everybody knows she 26 right?, so it's ok to say the first 2. and she wrote her full name as Jeanette Aw Ee-Ping. think a lot people know she changed her stage name to Ou Xuan. :)
8) She's good at dancing. almost on the expert side already. the funniest thing is that, Angus, who played her dance partner and love interest in the show, is the total opposite!! his dancing is atrocious. can see the big difference when both of them dance together. sometimes he needs a stand in, whereas Jeanette doesn't need at all. :P
9) Jeanette can cry very well. she doesn't need to pei yang qing xu, or use eyedrop (some artistes actually use these 2 methods). it's very natural the way her tears drop. that's the thing which makes her very professional.
10) As a person, she's ok lah, when you do something that she appreciates, she will say thank you and smile. BUT, if it's the other way round, she can be quite rude. as in she'll give you that no-expression face, and ignores you. but i don't know lah, maybe it's her character. nobody is perfect right.
....that's all i can think of. got somemore, another day than add. :P
if Jeanette is reading this, she'll probably kill me.

something really funny happened yesterday. Ok, we finished eating dinner, and Shuyi said she wants to go to the toilet. (we were filming at NAFA theatre) She asked me if the toilet outside the stage was clean, i told her it was ok lah, maybe the one upstairs is cleaner. and she decided to try the 1 upstairs. So we proceed inside the theatre and i went over to prepare some stuff for the next scene before i went to the toilet.
i entered the toilet, assuming Shuyi is inside, coz only 1 cubicle is closed, so not Shuyi than who?
Me: *shouts* Shu Yi??
Person in the cubicle: *silence for 2 secs, after which, sounds of laughter*
Me: *laughs* the toilets here are so much cleaner!!
Person in the cubicle: Ya!
*silence again*
Person in the cubicle: by the way, i'm not Shu Yi
Me: *suprised* err...who are you?
Person in the cubicle: I'm Jeanette.
Me: *faints*
Jeanette: Who are u?
Me: Wan Yu.
Jeanette: Oh!!
Me: *regaining composure* Did you go to the toilets downstairs before?
Jeanette: Ya, i did went once, and they were Dis-gus-ting!!
Me: Yep! *laughs*
Me: I thought Shu Yi came in just now?
Jeanette: dunno, i didn't see her.
I finished using the toilet, and i washed my hands and left, with Jeanette still inside....once i stepped out, i saw Shuyi coming out from the toilet beside, that's for the wheelchair bound! aiyo, me so stupid, anyhow assume. haha...anyway, think now Jeanette has a better impression on me already. :P

i'm in the office now, doing "office" work. which is so ironic lah. when i first took up this job, never would i have imagine i'll have to do OFFICE work. and they always call me up during my off day, end up i no off loh. haha. but nvm lah, at least it's showing that i'm hardworking. :D
chatted with Amanda on msn for a while the other day. i told her i'm starting work the next day at 2.30pm, and she was like "So good?!!", and i asked her to guess what time i finish. when i told her 4am, she went "Crap lah!!!!!" hahaha. many people don't like what i'm doing, as in have to work overnight and stuff, out of 10, think 9 cannot take it. like Amanda, she said if she work 1 day, she'll quit. but i tell her i'm used to it already, and it's true, i'm doing what i like, so even if have to work 7 days consecutively i also don't mind. serious. :)
next month i'll be working non-stop anyway, coz we'll be filming 2 dance competitions. and there are supposed to be like, some 200 people in the audience. i don't know how i am going to cope with it. ~_~
when you guys see the show on TV, think of all the hard work that goes behind it k.

there are a lot of things that i'm clueless about in production filming. and i got scolded because of that. haiz.
can you believe that local artistes have the priority over overseas ones?...there's once i told our driver to send an artiste back to her hotel. and AP ended up very unhappy. she said we are not supposed to send artistes back to their hotel, must always send back to MCS. she even said lucky there's no local artistes on the bus that day (like Jeanette Aw), if not i'll be in trouble. i didn't know that what! she didn't tell me loh.
and when filming, artistes ALWAYS comes first. which i think is unfair. as if the people in the production crew are not humans like that. like whenever we film a raining scene, once the director says cut, we have to immediately run and wrap the artiste with a bathrobe. like it's perfectly ok if it's raining on us. ? when it's sunny, we have to shelter the artiste with umbrella, whereas ourselfs?, we have to melt under the sun loh. *shakes head* ....my opinion only lah, i hope no MCS people are reading this.
AP became extremely strict. which is quite irritating sometimes. she's practically throwing instructions at me loh. it's funny, coz when i ask other PAs with other teams, i realised that they are not doing some of the things that i'm.
haiz. whatever lah. every job has their disadvantages too right? wait 'till September, that's when we'll be filming the dance competitions. just controlling the crowds alone will make me faint. haha.
but i can't complain. anyway, i'm sure that the show will come out great on TV. :)

my home PC is down again. i think it is beyond repair already. all because of my stupid brother, play and play his games, like he treats it as a gaming station like that. please lah, it's a 6 year old PC loh. wait until i earn enough money, i'll buy a laptop for MYSELF. luckily office can go internet, if not i die. :P
Graduation was ok. not as fun as i expected lah. but at least i got to meet my classmates, lecturers and friends again. had to like sit through the 1 hour of crap speech lah, but nvm, i used that time to call artistes and remind them about next day's filming. clever idea right? :D actually the ceremony was nothing much, only that when they called out my name, i had to walk up to the stage, take the scroll from the Director, and give a big smile for the photographer's camera. that's it. 3 years of poly education, just to get a piece of paper. ironic isn't it? didn't chat much with classmates, coz everybody was literally spread over the whole big convention center. but took quite a num of photos with them lah. :) can't wait to get my graduation picture!
starting to get used to the job, or rather working in this project lah. i have learnt to accept that making mistakes is something that i can't avoid. i only need to take them at stride, most importantly i must rem not make them again. 1 thing i have realised is that i have short term memory. sometimes AP ask me to do something, and because i have so many other tasks to do, i tend to forget what is it. AP was like, i told you like 10mins ago?! haha. also at the beginning, i was very nervous when it comes to contacting the artistes on the phone, coz they are from overseas mah, not very used to calling them. but now my "fear" is gone. maybe because now they know my name lah (last time i always said "wo shi Shuyi de PA". but now i can say "wo shi Wanyu". :] )
1 month gone, another 2 months to go before we finish the project. seems so short, but yet so long.
